Should I sell gold or not
I"ve been thinking of selling my old jewellery recently. It"s a bit old-fashioned, but it is difficult to tell how old it really is. There are some fancy necklaces, huge earrings with ornamental stones and a couple of rings. To be honest, I"m sure I won"t wear these things. I prefer something much more simplistic, so why not sell gold and buy some new fashionable jewellery? Well, the point is, I"m not sure if this is the right time to sell it. A friend of mine advises me to wait for a couple of years. She believes this kind of jewellery can become more valuable. She"s the artistic type and she really likes my old necklaces and rings. She says there are some precious stones there, too. I don"t know much about stones, but she could identify them easily so now I know there is an agate in the necklace and two amethysts in the earrings. Some of these things are a bit damaged. The rings are broken and the necklace is actually in two parts. Should I sell gold as scrap or perhaps it is better to wait and see if I can earn more by having it fixed first and then selling it? I think I will ask an expert. My father knows a man who specialises in such things. He"s an investor and he often buys and sells jewellery. I"m going to arrange a meeting with him today.
